Kitana is a instructor, performer and promoter of shows and workshops in the Beaumont, Houston and Lake Charles area. Currently, my studio is the Host for Avant Garden's Tuesday night "Kitana's Garden" on Westheimer in Houston, Texas. The main focus of shows and events is to show case my students and other dancers in the area. I am always looking for dancers to participate in shows and workshops throughout the year. Annually, I host an October Masquerade Ball , January Extravaganza Show, and a Spring show. Any dancer or dancers of any level are welcome to participate. Kitana is currently an understudy of "Hind" www.hindbellydance.com I own my on studio.
She is an Award-Winning Performer and a graduate of Lamar University. She studied Bellydance, Fitness, Tap, Jazz, and Education. She has a Masters Degree and higher study . She also has over sixteen years of experience as a personal fitness trainer and aerobic instructor. She has held memberships and licenses from the Professional Reebok Aerobic Instructor Alliance, NDEITA , IDEA , and EXPERT RATING . She has worked as a trainer for Beaumont area banks, law firms, fitness centers, school district, and private residences. I speak at conferences and presents fitness workshops in the Beaumont and Houston area. She maintains a CPR certification through the American Redcross. She was awarded 2nd place at The 2007 Gathering of the Stars, Yah Halla Yall National Bellydance Conference.
Her school of Bellydance offers training for beginners up to performing professionals. Students of all ages male and female are accepted into class. Students are taught the basics of Bellydance styles and rhythms. Classes cover all they different types of Bellydance, Egyptian,American, African Tribal Fusion, and a variety of zill and drum rhythms.
The studio has live drummers and a professional performance group. Classes are taught all year long and students of any level are allowed the opportunity to perform if they choose. My motto is: Let's all Dance!!! |
