I am currently 26 years old, and I have a very unusual life. I seem to have been giving a difficult hand of cards but I always make the best out of it. I am a digital artist as well as a Belly Dancer, and a lot of my digital paintings feature Belly Dancers, dome either regularly or in a more anthropomorphic way (dancers drawn as animals in human form) Doing the anthropomorphic belly dancer paintings gives me more freedom with color and hair pieces and costume. I love it.
I am always willing to learn, and am always looking for that next awesome song and choreography.
I am currently Teaching at Temple Goddess Yoga and Dance Studio.

I Started Dancing when I was 15 and I ADORE the freedom it gives me to be myself, the closeness of sisterhood you get in good studios with teachers, professionals and peers, and the vocabulary of ATS/ITS that I can go anywhere in the country, even the world and though we may not speak the same language, we can all dance together

More travel and workshops are in my future I am sure, as well as my growing class.
Not sure which Favorites are being referred to here, but..Favorite Dances I have done...there are a few, the Improv in the Park, very organic and well improv, the Safety Dance(featured video) for sheer fun, and the Jackalope piece because seeing myself in full facial prosthesis, antlers and wig, just made for a spectacular performance. My All Time favorite was JUST completed and it is the True Blood Inspired piece done at the Beledi Beach bash With Unmata.
Favorite Dancers. Mejda from Awalim, Unmata, The Indigo, Basically anyone who is unique in their performances as well as technically strong.
Favorite Dance move, LOVE a lot of the ATS movements, the Maya, and most undulations and pops are just superfun if done correctly.
AND My favorite costume would be a tie between the super bright 80's costume and the Jackalope one, my favorite belt is my double coined leopard print one

I have been dancing for a little over 12 years. I started in the traditional Styles of Egyptian, Turkish, Persian Arabic and the Cabaret styles. Then I discovered Tribal and Tribal Fusion, as well as ATS/ITS. As well as branching out in to the relms of Polynesian Fusion and hip hop Fusion. I still LOVE dancing in the traditional styles but my heart is in Tribal Fusion. I feel I can create more and use my interpretation better with more unique music and always changing unique moves.
I use Veil, Cane,Fan Veils and Zills.
Teacher
I Teach Classes at Temple Goddess Yoga and Dance Studio As well as Private Lessons.
Right now I am Running a Tribal Fusion Stylizations class which includes basic tribal vocabulary and basic ITS vocabulary being introduced to new dancers as well as Cabaret dancers looking to try out a new style.
I also do some workshops which stick to a specilized style in which I get more into the dance fusion (adding some hip-hop flairs, working on adding more Polynesian and whatever else I have been studying at the moment)
I teach a Hands on class, where the movements are broken down enough to learn but most of the time is spent dancing and learning how the movements work practically in a Drilling atmosphere.
We at the studio are also preparing sometime in the next year to offer a Choreography class which will probably be a combination of Tribal and Cabaret stylizations.
I LOVE teaching and I believe my strongest point as a teacher would be in choreography.
