How I came to Hipness |

I graduated high school in 2004 and when I got married and moved away it took me 2 years to find another belly dance class. We have a wonderful daughter that is 3 years old that I performed at three different belly dance events while 8 1/2 months pregnant! I'm testimony to the power of bellydance during pregnancy as I was skinner AFTER I had the baby than I was BEFORE I got pregnant. And a very easy (and blessed!) labor and delivery that I give credit to the art. I have a college degree in Business Computers and am a full time Graphics and Web Designer. I also teach Microsoft Office and various other computer community education classes at Vidor ISD. |

Curiosity. Hardly knowing what belly dance was I had at least wanted to try it. When I found a local class out in the sticks, I HAD to sign up and I've been sucked in ever since! I couldn't dance, at all. I had absolutely no rhythm and felt bellydance lessons would be a non-embarrassing way to learn. It took me a while to come out of my shell but now it's apart of who I am. :) |

I got to go to Sydney Australia in May 2010. Gorgeous! I took a bellydance class from Leonie there in Sutherland. She was a wonderful lady and I had a great time visiting with her. I've even passed on the routine she taught me to some of my students. But my ultimate dream is Venice, Italy! |
