Oh my ... there are far too many musicians and dancers to mention here. Dancers who have highly influenced my dancing and teaching style include Farida Fahmy, Mahmoud Reda, Essam Mounir, Katia, Kamellia, Tamra-henna, Sashi, and Ariellah.

Belynda Azhaar is a professional Performing Artist (actress, dancer, musician, singer) and Instructor/Choreographer with more than 20 years experience in TV, stage, and screen productions. She combines her acting, musical, and dance skills to create powerful performances; from soulful, to playful, to exciting! A rising star of Raqs Sharqi (a.k.a. belly dance, Middle Eastern dance, Oriental dance), Belynda Azhaar is quickly gaining popularity worldwide; she has taught workshops and performed in Australia, China, Egypt, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Turkey, and Vietnam, and will be touring Indonesia, Italy, and Malta in early 2012. With a passion for ethnomusicology and dance ethnology, Dr. Belynda Azhaar is currently researching Al-Andalus and the Silk Road, and plans to conduct field research in Central Asia in the near future.

Currently based in South Korea, Belynda Azhaar has toured worldwide teaching workshops, private, and master classes to students from beginner through to professional level. A nurturing and motivational instructor, Belynda is known for her warm and friendly yet professional teaching style, strong dance technique, cultural knowledge, creative choreographies, and ability to communicate effectively with students regardless of any language barriers.
